ginger pancakes

This is one fabulous pancake recipe. My family and I love to travel to Austin TX to get these already made up when we can. But since we live far away I was able to get the recipe from the resturant =) I love to fix these for any quess I have for breakfast they are always loved by all and the sauce and syups as well. Those recipes I will post as well. Hope you will enjoy them as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 - eggs
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon gound clove
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ADD LAST
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or butter
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

How To Make ginger pancakes

  • Step 1
    In bowl add ginger, coffee,cinnamon,eggs,brn sugar,buttermilk,water,nutmeg,cloves,flour mix well.
  • Step 2
    Then add the last three ingredients...margarine or butter,baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well. Then make your pancakes on griddle or skillet
  • Step 3
    Add butter and hot maple syrup or powder sugar and butter...OR see my recipes for Maple and Orange Marmalade syrup and Lemon Sauce which also go well on these pancakes =)
  • Step 4
    These also go well with plain buttermilk pancakes one of each on a plate
