Herb foccacia bread, with a blended roasted red pepper and artichoke dip, makes for a delicous appetizer, an easy snack for the kids, or as an addition to any meal. Additionally, you can add whatever topping you desire and turn this foccacia bread into a foccacia pizza.

Ingredients

  • 1 package pillsbury pizza crust dough
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon basil, dried
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 1/2 - red onion, slices
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
  • - wax paper
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 1 jar roasted red peppers
  • 1 jar marinated artichoke hearts
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

How To Make easy foccacia with roasted red pepper & artichoke dip

  • Step 1
    Spread out the pizza crust dough on a cookie sheet – lay half of it on a piece of wax paper.
  • Step 2
    Blend the butter and the herbs together. Spread half the butter on the one half of dough touching the cookie sheet. Sprinkle half the cheese over the butter.
  • Step 3
    Lift the wax paper to fold over the dough onto itself. Peel away wax paper and discard. Spread the remaining butter on top.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle the remaining cheese. Scatter the onions atop the cheese.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove and cut into squares.
  • Step 6
    While foccacia is baking, in a blender, combine the peppers, artichokes and garlic. Blend until smooth. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Step 7
    Serve foccacia and dipping sauce on a platter.
