My family really loves this banana bread. When we make it we make several loafs at a time and freeze them for later.

Ingredients

1/2 c
butter
2
eggs
3 large
very ripe bananas
1 1/2 Tbsp
sour cream or buttermilk
1 tsp
lemon juice, fresh
1 c
sugar
2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 c
walnut halves

How to Make Banana Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1Place butter, eggs, bananas, sour cream (or buttermilk) and lemon juice in blender or work bowl or food processor. Whirl until smooth.
  • 2Add to work bowl: sugar, flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Stirring until just moist.
  • 3Add nuts stirring until evenly distributed.
  • 4Pour into greased loaf pan.
  • 5Bake in 350 degree oven 60 to 70 minutes or until skewer inserted comes out clean.
  • 6Enjoy!
