This is one amazing sweet bread that I promise you that if you make it you'll be sure to put it on the list of favorites! I'll be making this for Christmas every year as I do my Eggnog Bread. Fabulous flavor and very moist. I also love that sugar and cinnamon topping that gives a nice crisp bite on top. Yumm

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 cups cinammon chips
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream or yogurt
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • TOPPING
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, granulated
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon, ground

How To Make snickerdoodle bread

  • Hershey's Cinnamon Chips
    Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease & flour two loaf pans and set aside. Cream together softened butter, sugar, salt and cinnamon till fluffy. Then add your eggs and mix well. Next add the sour cream and vanilla and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Next fold in your mixture of flour and baking powder. Do not over mix. Mix till it is combined and then stir in your Cinnamon chips. Pour into your loaf pans and sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture on top of both loaves then bake. Bake for 35-45 minutes and make sure to check with your cake tester that it comes out clean testing from the center of your loaf. Let the loaves cool for about 10 to 15 minutes before placing on a cooling rack.
