I got this recipe from a friend of mine. I got tired of making monkey bread the regular way and was talking to her about it one day. She told me that she makes hers on top of the stove.

She sent me this recipe to try and after a little bit of adapting, I give to you Skillet Monkey Bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    (16.3 ozs) pillsbury grands refrigerated biscuits
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/3 c
    sweetened flaked coconut

How to Make Skillet Monkey Bread

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 10" oven-safe skillet with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Cut biscuits into quarters. In a small bowl, add melted butter. In another small bowl, stir together sugar and cinnamon. Working in batches, dip biscuit pieces in butter, then roll in sugar mixture to coat. Place biscuit pieces in prepared pan. Sprinkle evenly with pecans and coconut.
  3. Bake until golden brown, approximately 25 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes. Drizzle with syrup, if desired.
