Ingredients For puff pastry swirls

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 egg 1 tablespoon water
  • ¼ cup brown sugar – loose pack
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter brickle bits
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts

How To Make puff pastry swirls

    Unroll puff pastry onto parchment paper lined cookie sheet, it should be about 9” x 14” rectangle. Beat egg and water then brush onto the pastry. Mix filling, and spread filling onto the sheet of puff pastry. Then roll it like a jelly roll – rolling short side so the roll is about 14” long . Then coat the roll with egg-water mixture, cut into rounds. Cut about 1” thick and it will make 14 spirals. Lay each round cut side up and coat with egg-water mixture. Bake in preheated 400 degrees F. oven for 10-12 minutes.
