peach nut bread
An irresistible, delicious, easy to make, moist bread. Can use an orange glaze over it to bring it to the next level. You can also use a nut topping instead of the glaze.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 - eggs
- 1/4 cup buttermilk or peach nectar or orange juice
- 1 cup peaches, mashed, drained canned
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract
- 1 cup nuts
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- NUT TOPPING
- 2 tablespoons chopped nuts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ORANGE GLAZE
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange juice
How To Make peach nut bread

Step 1Sift dry ingredients; set aside.

Step 2Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and orange extraxt; beat well.

Step 3Stir in buttermilk and mashed drained canned peaches.

Step 4Add the dry ingredients, mixing until all dry particles are moistened. Fold in nuts.

Step 5Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 X 5 inch loaf pan. Combine topping; sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.

Step 6Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack. Glaze option: While baking, stir orange juice and powdered sugar until combined. Drizzle glaze over top of bread when bread is cool.
