sugar

shortening

eggs, beaten

ripe bananas, mashed
1 c
cranberry sauce, - i use whole berry sauce
1/2 c
milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract
4 c
ap flour
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/2 tsp
nutmeg
1/2 - 3/4 c
chopped, walnuts

How to Make Nutty Banana Cranberry Bread

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large mixing bowl, beat sugar and shortening together until fluffy. Beat in eggs.
  • 2Stir in bananas, cranberry sauce, milk and vanilla.

    In another bowl mix together flour, soda, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  • 3Gradually blend flour mixture into the banana mixture, fold in walnuts.
  • 4Divide batter evenly between two greased 9 x 5 loaf pans.
  • 5Bake at 350 degree for 50 - 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Cool in pans for 10 minutes; turn out onto a wire rack and cook completely.
