This is a quick and easy way recipe if you have a bit of a sweet tooth for breakfast. I have made this recipe for my husband, Mark, since we were first married.

Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 2 cups original bisquick
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • STREUSEL TOPPING
  • 2/3 cup original bisquick
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons firm, unsalted butter

How To Make mom's cinnamon streusel coffee cake

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease round pan, 9- by 1 1/2-inches.
  • Step 2
    To make streusel topping, mix all topping ingredients, except the butter. Cut in butter using a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly; set aside.
  • Step 3
    Stir cake ingredients until blended. Spread in pan. Sprinkle with topping.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 375 degrees for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown.
