easy/quick cinnamon doughnuts

My Dad used to make these for a sweet treat when I was little

Ingredients

  • 1-2 can buttermilk refrigerated biscuits
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • - oil for frying

How To Make easy/quick cinnamon doughnuts

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan or a deep skillet have oil about 3 inches deep and heat to 350 degrees, use a frying or a candy thermometer
  • Step 2
    In each biscuit make a hole with your finger and stretch it out a bit but keeping a round shape
  • Step 3
    Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl big enough to dip doughnuts in
  • Step 4
    Fry 3 doughnuts at a time, flipping them over as they brown, when done drain slightly on paper towels
  • Step 5
    While still hot dip and flip doughnut in cinnamon sugar mixture I use 2 cans of biscuits to make enough,they go quick
