Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 - large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 6 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour Ann 8 inch square pan.

Step 2Whisk together first 4 ingredients, let cool. Whisk in eggs. Sift next 4 ingredients together and whisk into egg mixture. Pour into pan and bake 30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

Step 3Meanwhile, cook peaches. Bring peaches, 3/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup water to boil over medium heat and stir until sugar dissolved. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
