Cherry Nut Bread

Ingredients

·2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
-
·1/2 cup sugar

·1/2 cup packed brown sugar

·3-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
-
·1 teaspoon salt
-
·3 tablespoons vegetable oil
-
·1-1/4 cup milk
-
·1 egg, beaten
-
·1 cup chopped pecans
-
·1/2 teaspoon almond extract
-
·1 - 10 ounce jar maraschino cherries, chopped and drained.
How to Make Cherry Nut Bread
- Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. - Mix all ingredients except pecans and cherries.
Beat 30 seconds. - Stir in pecans and cherries.
Pour into greased pan - Bake 65 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.
- Cool slightly; loosen sides of loaf from pan before removing from pan.
