Ingredients For cherry nut bread

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

3-1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

1-1/4 cup milk
-
1 egg, beaten
-
1 cup chopped pecans
-
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
-
1 - 10 ounce jar maraschino cherries, chopped and drained.
How To Make cherry nut bread

1Preheat Oven to 350 degrees Grease bottom only of a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.

2Mix all ingredients except pecans and cherries. Beat 30 seconds.

3Stir in pecans and cherries. Pour into greased pan

4Bake 65 to 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean.

5Cool slightly; loosen sides of loaf from pan before removing from pan.
