This is a moist flavorful bread. Makes 2 loaves.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk or regular milk
  • 1 cup bananas, mashed & ripe
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

How To Make banana tea bread

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 350. Spray two loaf pans and set aside. Cream butter and sugar together. Beat in eggs and sour cream.
  • Step 2
    Add flour, salt, baking powder and soda. Blend in bananas, milk, and almond extract. Stir in pecans, if desired. Bake at 350 for 60-70 minutes or until bread tests done in center. Enjoy!
