Apricot Nut Bread

A delicious, moist, easy to make bread that you will want to make often. If you like apricots, this bread will make your mouth water.

  • 1 c
    dried apricots, cut fine
  • 2 c
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 2
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts

How to Make Apricot Nut Bread


  1. Soak apricots in a 1/4 cup hot water for 30 minutes and then drain well.
  2. Sift dry ingredients.
    Add eggs, orange juice and melted butter.
    Fold in apricots and nuts.
  3. Pour into greased and floured 9 X 5 inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
    Cool 10 minutes in pan before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
