southern style cornbread
I hope you enjoy. I used coconut oil, farm raised eggs from our chickens and almond milk. This is a treat not for everyday.

Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising white cornmeal mix
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 2 - eggs
- 1 3/4 cups milk
How To Make southern style cornbread

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Step 2Items needed: 9-10 inch iron skillet Mixing bowl and whisk

Step 3Add to skillet the 3Tbs oil and put into oven. Add to bowl the 2 cups corn meal mix, eggs, and milk and whisk together until looks like pancake batter or cake batter. Don't over mix. Then carefully remove the iron skillet from oven(caution-very hot oil), pour oil into bowl of the mix. Whisk oil 4-5 rounds of the bowl, does NOT have to be completely incorporated, then pour into iron skillet. (Will sizzle because skillet should be very hot when you pour the batter in.)Put into the hot oven for 18-23 minutes.
