Here's another one of those "assume" recipes. I assume everyone knows how to make garlic bread. The kid's voices in my head are yelling, once again, don't assume. So, here ya go.

Ingredients
- 1 - french bread loaf, halved, lengthwise (the fresh from the bakery)
- - enough spreadable butter or margarine to cover
- - garlic powder
- - parmesan cheese, grated
How To Make basic garlic bread
-
Step 1Cut your french bread in half lengthwise. Take top half and make your garlic bread. Spread butter over bread, generously. Next sprinkle garlic powder, and then Parmesan cheese, over all.
-
Step 2Place on a cookie sheet. Put under broiler for 5 minutes, or until crispy but not burned. Slice into 1-1/2 inch strips and serve with your favorite salad or pasta dish.
-
Step 3If you have a large crowd make the other half of the french bread. Otherwise, save it for french bread pizza (for left-over pasta sauce), or just plain bread for stews and soups.
