These are unique and have a spicy kick! They are wonderful served with a bowl of soup or on the dinner table instead if a bread basket. Simple and easy to make.

all purpose flour
2 cups
grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup
milk 2%
1/4 cup
unsalted butter
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
ground pepper

How to Make Spicy Cheddar Muffins


  • 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffin tins with non stock spray
  • 2In a bowl mix together egg, milk and butter
  • 3In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  • 4Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold in the grated cheddar cheese
  • 5Fill the muffin tins 3/4 full with batter and place in oven.
  • 6Bake for 20-25 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool for 10-15 mins.
