These are unique and have a spicy kick! They are wonderful served with a bowl of soup or on the dinner table instead if a bread basket. Simple and easy to make.

  • 1 1/2 cups
    all purpose flour
  • 2 cups
    grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup
    milk 2%
  • 1/4 cup
    unsalted butter
  • 1
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground pepper

How to Make Spicy Cheddar Muffins


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffin tins with non stock spray
  2. In a bowl mix together egg, milk and butter
  3. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
  4. Slowly whisk the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold in the grated cheddar cheese
  5. Fill the muffin tins 3/4 full with batter and place in oven.
  6. Bake for 20-25 mins or until toothpick comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool for 10-15 mins.
