I love these muffins for breakfast, but they're just as good for a snack!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 large egg
  • 1-1/2 cup flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, i used 1%
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter, melted

How To Make melt in your mouth morning muffins

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Lightly spray 12 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, beat together 1/2 cup sugar, shortening, and egg.
  • Step 2
    In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Beat flour mix into egg mix, alternately w/ milk.
  • Step 3
    Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20 mins, or until golden. Pour melted butter in a shallow bowl. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in another bowl. Submerge muffins in butter, then roll in cinnamon/sugar mix. Serve warm.
