Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/3 c
    shortening
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1-1/2 c
    flour
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    milk, i used 1%
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted

How to Make Melt in your mouth morning muffins

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 350. Lightly spray 12 muffin cups w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, beat together 1/2 cup sugar, shortening, and egg.
  2. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Beat flour mix into egg mix, alternately w/ milk.
  3. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake 20 mins, or until golden. Pour melted butter in a shallow bowl. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon in another bowl. Submerge muffins in butter, then roll in cinnamon/sugar mix. Serve warm.
