A Lady I use to work with gave me this recipe one Christmas. It's great for a quick breakfast when you have company over

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (i use jimmie dean)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 pound velveeta block cheese
  • 1 package english muffins (or you may use cocktail breads, sourdough is best)

How To Make breakfast sausage breads

  • Step 1
    Brown sausage and ground beef together in a skillet over medium heat; drain and return to skillet turning heat a little lower
  • Step 2
    Cut up cheese in medium chunks and add to meat mixture
  • Step 3
    Stir until cheese is completely melted
  • Step 4
    Turn heat off so cheese does not scorch. Spread mixture on split English muffins (or cocktail bread).
  • Step 5
    Place on cookie sheet and put in freezer until frozen (about 20 minutes)
  • Step 6
    Once frozen, store in freezer bags. You can take out as many as you need at a time.
  • Step 7
    To re-heat, place breads in toaster oven under broiler for 15 minutes or until tops are browned and meat is heated through.
