These are really good. You can add chopped walnuts or pecans. Also to the cinnamon lovers, you can add a little cinnamon to the batter also.

Ingredients For banana crumb muffins

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 large ripe bananas; mashed
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 whole egg; lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup butter; melted
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter

How To Make banana crumb muffins

    In a large bowl combine dry ingredients. Combine bananas, sugar, egg and butter and mix well. Stir into dry ingredients until just moistened.

    Fill greased or paper line muffin cups 3/4 full.

    Combine 1st three topping ingredients and cut in butter until crumbly and sprinkle over muffins.

    Bake at 375 degrees for 18 - 20 minutes or until test done. Cool in pan 10 minutes before removing.
