monkey bread
no rules when making this . It tastes like a sticky bun. I would recommend dried cranberries or dried cherries too maybe with almonds. My husband loves this...it is his Sunday treat and it reheats in the microwave nicely in a few seconds.....Be careful when inverting on to a serving plate..The plate or cake plate needs a bit of a rise so hot sauce does not run all over. It needs to be inverted immediately after removing from the oven with care. The baking time is minimum giving if it browns too fast i cover with a loose piece of foil and have baked 5-8 mins more..as needed :)

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 pound butter
- 4 tablespoons karo syrup or honey
- 4 packages standard size refrigerator biscuits(cut into quarters with serrated knife)
- 1/2-3/4 cup nuts and /or raisins to taste
How To Make monkey bread

Step 1cut biscuits into quarters....

Step 2mix sugar and cinnamon in a pie plate or same type dish and roll biscuit pieces in mixture to coat

Step 3spray a tube or bundt cake pan....melt the stick of butter in pyrex measure cup in microwave...pour about half of butter in bottom

Step 4sprinkle with nuts and raisins...(walnuts ..pecans i keep in freezer so i always have them for all baking) put a layer of biscuit pieces(about a third of the amount) repeat until used up

Step 5pour the rest of the butter and top with karo syrup(light or dark....or honey)
