Ingredients
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup ground ham ~ i use country ham
- 1 1/2 cups shredded, sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper ~ optional
- 3/4 - 1 cups buttermilk or enough to moisten
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
How To Make ~ ham & cheddar biscuits ~

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 degree F. Add the flour to a bowl. Cut in 1/2 cup butter with a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Step 2Stir in the ham, mustard, pepper and cheese.

Step 3Add the buttermilk; stir until a moist dough forms. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

Step 4Bake for 10 - 13 minutes, or until lightly golden. Brush with melted butter.
