These biscuits are so quick and easy.. start to finish, about 30 min. I use my pizza cutter and bench scraper to cut and scoop up the biscuits so it's fast and easy. You can make them the classic round also, to your liking.

cook time 20 Min

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter - very cold
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk (or 2 tbs vinegar stirred into milk to make buttermilk)

How To Make gici's biscuits!

  • Step 1
Mix flour, baking powder and salt together. Cut in butter. Slowly add buttermilk. Do not over mix. Dump mixture onto a flour dusted counter. Press out by hand folding dough over onto itself, alternating directions 3 or 4 times. Keep the dough squarish as you work - roughly 8x8.
  • Step 2
Cut the dough square with a knife or pizza cutter into 9 squares. Place in baking dish or cookie sheet, slightly touching. Bake at 425 until done (golden on top) About 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 3
Glaze tops with butter once they've been out of the oven for a minute or two.
