My sisters and I loved waking up to these biscuits at MaMa's. She always had fresh jam and butter to go along with these biscuits.

Ingredients For drop biscuits

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 stick
    butter,cold (slice into small pieces)
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    milk
  • ***PREHEAT OVEN TO 450 DEGREES***

How To Make drop biscuits

  • 1
    Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter with a pastry blender or a fork until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Add milk a little at a time, stirring lightly between additions. Drop batter by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet and bake 12-15 minutes (until tops are lightly browned).
