buttermilk biscuits with strawberry butter
Whipped these up this morning for my husband and my grand daughter "little miss energy". They went to town on them! 8)

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons butter crisco
- STRAWBERRY BUTTER
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- 1-2 tablespoon favorite jam (i used strawberry)
How To Make buttermilk biscuits with strawberry butter

Step 1Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter Crisco. Then add buttermilk and stir until soft dough is formed (about 25 strokes).

Step 2Turn dough onto floured board and knead until smooth. Roll out to 1/2 inch for thick fluffy biscuits and a 1/4 inch for crusty thin biscuits.

Step 3Cut with floured cutter. Put biscuits on greased pan. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until slightly golden. STRAWBERRY BUTTER-Mix 1/4 cup soft butter and 1 to 2 Tablespoons of strawberry jam or your favorite flavor of jam and put it in a small container to keep in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
