This was my grandmother's recipe. My grandmother was born in 1900, so this recipe was had a long life. By sharing it, I hope it continues to live on.

This dough will last in the fridge for a few days.

self-rising flour

How to Make Yeast Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix sugar and yeast with warm water.
  • 2Add oil and part of flour.
  • 3Chill in the fridge overnight, covered with an oiled cloth.
  • 4Drop into greased muffin tins.
  • 5Bake at 400-425 for 20 minutes.
