Biscuits weren't really my "thing" until I tried using wheat flour. Now I really like to make them for special meals. I hope you enjoy them!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil

How To Make whole wheat biscuits

  • Step 1
    Combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, mix well.
  • Step 2
    Combine milk and oil: stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.
  • Step 3
    Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 3 or 4 times.
  • Step 4
    Roll dough to 1/2" thick; cut with a 2 1/2" biscuit cutter.
  • Step 5
    Place on a ungreased baking sheet.
  • Step 6
    Bake at 400 for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
