This recipe was given to me by my ex mother-in-law, who passed away years ago. It is very simple and makes the best sweet potato biscuits you will ever taste. Enjoy.

  • 1 c
    self-rising flour
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 can(s)
    sweet potatoes
  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature

How to Make Sweet Potato Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare biscuit pan, if necessary, and set aside.
  2. Drain and mash sweet potatoes. Mix, by hand, flour, sugar, sweet potatoes, and butter until completely blended.
  3. You can either roll out dough on floured surface and use biscuit cutter or roll dough into a log shape and pinch off portions, rolling and flattening on biscuit pan.
  4. Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy.
