This recipe was given to me by my ex mother-in-law, who passed away years ago. It is very simple and makes the best sweet potato biscuits you will ever taste. Enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can sweet potatoes
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature

How To Make sweet potato biscuits

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare biscuit pan, if necessary, and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Drain and mash sweet potatoes. Mix, by hand, flour, sugar, sweet potatoes, and butter until completely blended.
  • Step 3
    You can either roll out dough on floured surface and use biscuit cutter or roll dough into a log shape and pinch off portions, rolling and flattening on biscuit pan.
  • Step 4
    Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Step 5
    Serve immediately and enjoy.
