Ingredients For sweet potato biscuits

  • 1 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 2 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/3 c
    shortening
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk

How To Make sweet potato biscuits

    In mixing bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, brown sugar and salt. Cut in shortening till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

    Combine egg , mashed sweet potato, and milk. Add all at once to dry mixture. stir just till dough clings together.

    you can drop on cookie sheet or roll out dough and cut out biscuits. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 10-12 minutes.
