Ingredients

  • 2 cups sifted flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • - green food gel or paste

How To Make st. patrick’s day biscuits

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425F. In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Cut in the shortening until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add milk; stir until blended. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface. Add a little bit of green gel food coloring paste and knead lightly until the color is marbled through - 8 to 10 times. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with a floured cutter.

    Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 10 - 12 minutes.
