- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup buttermilk

Step 1Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
