Ingredients

  • 1 cup water, warm
  • 1 package active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 7 cups sifted flour

How To Make sour dough biscuits

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Mix first two ingredients (warm water and yeast) and set aside.
  • Step 3
    In a seperate bowl, mix all of the rest of the ingredients. Once mixed well, add warm water and yeast mixture.
  • Step 4
    Cover bowl tightly and refrigerate for an hour or so.
  • Step 5
    Roll out dough with rolling pin and cut out as desired with biscuit or cookie cutter.
  • Step 6
    Bake 12-15 minutes. ENJOY!
  • Step 7
