Ingredients

  • 1 c
    water, warm
  • 1 pkg
    active dry yeast
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    oil
  • 2 c
    buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 7 c
    sifted flour

How to Make Sour Dough Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Mix first two ingredients (warm water and yeast) and set aside.
  3. In a seperate bowl, mix all of the rest of the ingredients. Once mixed well, add warm water and yeast mixture.
  4. Cover bowl tightly and refrigerate for an hour or so.
  5. Roll out dough with rolling pin and cut out as desired with biscuit or cookie cutter.
  6. Bake 12-15 minutes. ENJOY!
  7. ****DOES NOT HAVE TO RISE****
