water, warm
1 pkg
active dry yeast
1/2 c
sugar
3/4 c
oil
2 c
buttermilk
2 Tbsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
baking soda
7 c
sifted flour

How to Make Sour Dough Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • 2Mix first two ingredients (warm water and yeast) and set aside.
  • 3In a seperate bowl, mix all of the rest of the ingredients. Once mixed well, add warm water and yeast mixture.
  • 4Cover bowl tightly and refrigerate for an hour or so.
  • 5Roll out dough with rolling pin and cut out as desired with biscuit or cookie cutter.
  • 6Bake 12-15 minutes. ENJOY!
  • 7****DOES NOT HAVE TO RISE****
