1Mix dry ingredents in a mixing bowl. Cut or grate cold butter into dry mixture. Blend with fork or clean fingers until mixture resembles corn meal.
2Make a well in center of dry mixture and pour in half and half and chips. Mix gently DO NOT OVERMIX!!
Mix only until moistened. Pat half of dough into a 5 or 6 inch round and cut into fours or sixes depending on how big you want them. Repeat with other half of dough.
3Place cut scones on lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Glaze with a light powdered sugar glaze if desired.
