How to Make Scones
- Mix dry ingredents in a mixing bowl. Cut or grate cold butter into dry mixture. Blend with fork or clean fingers until mixture resembles corn meal.
- Make a well in center of dry mixture and pour in half and half and chips. Mix gently DO NOT OVERMIX!!
Mix only until moistened. Pat half of dough into a 5 or 6 inch round and cut into fours or sixes depending on how big you want them. Repeat with other half of dough.
- Place cut scones on lightly greased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Glaze with a light powdered sugar glaze if desired.
