sandy's homemade herb & cheddar biscuits
These are a twist on my regular homemade buttermilk biscuits, they are more on the savory side!! Soft & Delicious!!!

Ingredients
- 4 cups all purposr flour (i use king arthur)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 4 rounded tablespoons crisco shortening
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 1/4 teaspoons freshly grated coarse pepper
- 2 or 3 tablespoons fresh or dried chopped chives
- 2 tablespoons fresh or dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons 0r a smidge more of granulated garlic
- 1 1/2 cups medium or sharp grated tilamook cheddar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh or dried dill (opt)
How To Make sandy's homemade herb & cheddar biscuits

Step 1Combine dry ingredients in mixing bowl,cut in shortening& mix til it resembles coarse meal.

Step 2Add all herbs & grated cheese & buttermilk to combine,Do not over mix.Place on floured surface and roll out with rolling pin about 1/4 inch thick.Use floured biscuit cutter to cut biscuits, place in greased baking pan, biscuits can touch one another, this will keep them soft.

Step 3Bake @ 400 degrees (pre-heated oven) for abt. 15 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy!
