Ingredients For rebel biscuits

  • 1/2 c
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
  • 3/4 c

How To Make rebel biscuits

  • 1
    Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly with a pastry cutter (the shortening should be broken down until about the size of a pea).

    Roll out dough on a floured surface (fairly thick) and cut with a cookie cutter.

    Bake at 450 for about 10 to 12 minutes or until desired brownness occurs. Serve with lots of fresh butter, honey, sorghum syrup, jams or jellies.
