1/2 cshortening

2 call purpose flour

1 Tbspsugar

3 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

3/4 cbuttermilk
How To Make rebel biscuits

1Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix thoroughly with a pastry cutter (the shortening should be broken down until about the size of a pea).

2Roll out dough on a floured surface (fairly thick) and cut with a cookie cutter.

3Bake at 450 for about 10 to 12 minutes or until desired brownness occurs. Serve with lots of fresh butter, honey, sorghum syrup, jams or jellies.
