My Mom sent me a ton of vintage craft books, and within the pages were recipes I felt worth saving. This is one of those recipes. Originally published in The WorkBasket (now out of print) July, 1956.

Ingredients
- 1 can frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
How To Make orange biscuits

Step 1Combine juice, water, and sugar, mixing well. Cook 11 minutes and cool.

Step 2Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together. Cut in shortening.

Step 3Add milk stirring quickly until blended. Turn out on floured board or waxed paper and roll into a rectangle. Roll up long way, as for a jelly roll.

Step 4Cut into 16 slices and place cut side down in greased 9x9 inch pan. Drizzle syrup over and around biscuits.

Step 5Bake at 450 degrees for 16 minutes. Serve upside down.
