These are delicious. Great for making pot pie with a biscuit crust, or just for breakfast or dinner biscuits in general!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup skim or 2% milk

How To Make low fat whole wheat biscuits

  • Step 1
    Combine dry ingredients in a cold bowl. Cut in butter with fingers or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Step 2
    Add yogurt and milk just until mixed. DO NOT OVERMIX or the biscuits qill be tough.
  • Step 3
    Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to about 3/4" thickness. Cut into biscuits(usually about 2" circles).
  • Step 4
    Bake at 400 F for about 15 minutes
