Ingredients
- 8 cups plain flour
- 1 1/4 cups dry milk powder
- 1/4 cup baking powder
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 cups shortening
How To Make homemade bisquick mix
-
Step 1Combine flour, milk, baking powder and salt in a very large bowl. Cut in the shortening until it resembles coarse cornmeal. Store in tightly closed covered container in refregerator until ready to use. Remove the amount you need for a recipe and let it set out about one hour before making your recipe. Makes about 10 cups.
-
Step 2Note: You can store in multiple smaller containers (suggest pint or quart jars) if you don't have room for a large container. I've never frozen any but it would probably work - just have to thaw it out good before using in a recipe.
