This recipe makes it easy to make your own biscuits instead of buying the store bought ones.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter, cold
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk appromately

How To Make homemade biscuits

  • Step 1
    Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt and sift again. Cut in butter. Add milk gradually, stirring until soft dough is formed.
  • Step 2
    Turn out on slightly floured board and lightly knead for 30 seconds, enough to shape. Roll 1/2 inch thick and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  • Step 3
    Bake on an ungreased sheet at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
