homemade biscuits

There were very few days of the 60+ years of my parents' married life that my mother did not make these homemade biscuits for breakfast. Daddy would get her up as he went to do the chores on the farm. She always had breakfast ready and Daddy's biscuits buttered by the time he got back inside. She taught me to make biscuits as a teenager. Mine were never as smooth as hers, but they taste pretty good.
