2 c
all purpose flour
1 Tbsp
baking powder
1 Tbsp
sugar
3/4 tsp
salt
1 pkg
3oz. cream cheese
1/4 c
vegetable shortening
1/2 c
finely chopped green onions
2/3 c
milk

How to Make Green Onion Cream Cheese Breakfast Biscuits

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in medium bowl. Cut in cream cheese and shortening with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resmbles coarse crumbs. Stir in green onions.
  • 2Make well in center of flour mixture. Add milk; stir until mixture forms soft dough that clings together and forms a ball.
  • 3Turn out dough onto well-floured surface. Knead dough gently 10 to 12 times. Roll or pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out dough with floured 3-inch biscuit cutter.
  • 4Place biscuits 2-inches apart on ungreased large baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until tops and bottoms are golden brown. Serve warm.
