I love biscuits, I love giving homemade presents. This combines both! Don't know where I originally got these Gift Bag recipes, but have used them all through the years and never once had anyone do anything but smile!

4 cflour

2 Tbspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

3/4 tspsalt

1 Tbspsugar

2/3 cshortening
How To Make gift bag--buttermilk biscuit mix

1Combine dry ingredients, then cut in shortening. Divide mix into 2 cup portions and seal in plastic bag. Make a recipe card:

2Buttermilk Biscuits: Add 1 cup of buttermilk to the biscuit mix and stir to mix. Using a tablespoon, drop the dough by spoonfulls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 min or until golden brown. Makes about 8 biscuits.
