Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 - egg
  • FOR TOPPING:
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes

How To Make garlic cheese biscuits

  • Step 1
    in a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar.
  • Step 2
    grate cold butter and combine evenly with flour mixture.
  • Step 3
    stir in grated cheese.
  • Step 4
    combine buttermilk and egg, stir into flour mixture.
  • Step 5
    work with hands to form soft dough.
  • Step 6
    drop by spoonfuls (rounded tablespoons) on a large parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
  • Step 7
    bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes.
  • Step 8
    combine topping ingredients, and brush over hot biscuits.
