fluffy biscuits- grandma's recipe
Grandma used this recipe for biscuits her wonderful home made biscuits that we often ate warm with home made butter and fresh honey. They were also great warm with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder (be sure it is fresh for best results)
- 3 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 - egg
- 2/3 cup milk

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat egg with milk. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.

Step 2Turn onto a well-floured surface. Knead 10-20 times. Roll dough out to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with a floured 2-1/2 inch biscuit (or round cookie) cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
