flaky sour cream biscuits
Our family loves sour cream & since I'm occasionally looking for ways to incorporate it into my recipes, I decided to try it in my biscuits. The result was a flaky, golden brown, soft on the inside delicious biscuit!

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup chilled butter
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter for brushing biscuits
How To Make flaky sour cream biscuits

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Step 2In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda.

Step 3Using a fork, cut in chilled butter until mixture resembles course cornmeal.

Step 4Blend in sour cream & milk until dough clings together.

Step 5On lightly floured surface, knead dough lightly.

Step 6Pat or roll out dough to about 1/2" thickness.

Step 7Cut out biscuits with floured biscuit cutter.

Step 8Place on baking sheet & bake 10-12 minutes.

Step 9Remove from oven & brush tops with melted butter.

Step 10Put back in oven about 5 minutes to let biscuits brown good.

Step 11Remove from oven & enjoy hot!!
