This was my favorite first recipe that my grandma let me do on my own. Most of my success in baking is due to her knowledge. I hope these recipes will help you as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unbleached flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter
  • 2/3 cup milk

How To Make fast & yummy biscuits

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Mix in a medium bowl with a heavy-duty whisk (I use a beater from my hand mixer): flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Step 3
    When they are well blended add in the butter and mix till pea sized balls appear.
  • Step 4
    Add your milk a little bit at a time till well mixed (do not let butter melt).
  • Step 5
    Roll the dough onto a cookie sheet until 2 inch thickness is achieved. Use a butter knife and cut into squares. Spread evenly around sheet.
  • Step 6
    Place in oven for 15 minutes. The bottoms should be golden brown and the tops a light golden color.
