Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme, rosemary, or dill
- 7 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- 1 cup well chilled whole milk
How To Make drop biscuits
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Step 2Whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and fresh herbs in a large bowl. Using a pastry cutter, cut in the butter until it resembles crumbles with pea-sized pieces of butter.
-
Step 3Slowly stir in the milk. The dough will be sticky and shaggy. Using a 3-tablespoon cookie scoop, place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Step 4Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. After a few minutes cooling on the baking tray transfer the biscuits to a wire rack to cool.
