This recipe has been a household favorite for years. The biscuits come out light and fluffy, and are easy to make. They are excellent for breakfast sandwiches,with butter and jam, or even just to use for biscuits and gravy!

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup shortening (personal preference is butter flavored, but regular is fine)
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
How To Make cloud biscuits

Step 1Preheat oven to 450 degrees In a small bowl or measuring cup, beat egg and add milk. Set aside.

Step 2Mix dry ingredients in a bowl; cut in shortening until crumbly. Add egg and milk; stir in all at once just until mixture leaves sides of bowl.

Step 3Turn onto floured surface and knead 20 times. Roll out to 3/4 inch thickness. Using floured biscuit cutter or glass, cut dough into rounds. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-14 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
