cheesy garlic loaf

We all love those little yummy biscuits we get at Red Lobster, right?! So when I seen a recipe that was suppose to be similar but it was a loaf, I had to try it... I took the recipe and added a couple changes and WOW this bread is amazing!!! I hope you are able to give it a chance!!! Enjoy! :o)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/8-1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 6 ounces cheese, cheddar or the like, cut into 1/4" cubes
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 - egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulater garlic or powder
  • BASTING
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic or powder

How To Make cheesy garlic loaf

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350. Grease or spray a 9x5 loaf pan, set aside. Whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic, salt, cayenne and black pepper in a large bowl. Add cheese and toss to coat each piece. Set aside. In a medium bowl whisk together milk, sour cream, butter and egg.
  • Step 2
    Gently stir wet ingredients into dry ingredients...mixing gently until just mixed. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake 45-55 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out with just a few crumbs. Remove from oven, stir together melted basting butter and garlic, brush over top of loaf, cool in pan 5 minutes then remove to cooling rack...allow to cool at least 20 minute before serving. Enjoy! :o)
