My friend was telling me how her grandmother made biscuits from scratch, so I gave it a try...I just didn't have the touch her grandmother did, so I put my own spin on it!
- self rising flour
- whole milk
- salted butter
- cream of tartar
1Preheat oven to 375 F.
2Mix flour, butter, and cream of tartar together until a sticky dough has formed.
3Add milk to mixture enough milk so dough is more managable.
4Using hands, form into a round shape and place on a greased cookie sheet.
5Bake for 15-20 minutes. Biscuits should be golden brown on edges and cracked on top.
6For a different taste, add poppy seeds to the top of the biscuits before baking.
